Question about blacksmith's level

I have built a blacksmith in my island, and have used it to level up the attack of my ships. But how much have I upgraded the attack?

I ask this because there is no information in the game help informing about how much or how many points your army gain by each level.

Eg. if I take my Longship attack one level up, how would it's attack properties be now? 16, 20? There is really nothing in the game faq at this time, at least not in the viking side.

Game FAQ should state that each upgrade gives a 2% bonus to defensive or offensive stats.
