Island Speed

hello I'm new to the game and I have read most if not all the English posts on here; so before i ask my questions I'd like to say thanks to those who have answered them as (by all the views) you have helped many of us.

(my questions)
Does island size affect its speed?

Does the amount of wood needed to accelerate depend on the distance?

Hello,

yes island size affects its speed.
Larger island is slower than smaller island.

The amount of wood to accelerate your island depends on your current wood production per hour.
