Druid Academy - Does it work?

Druid Academy - Does it work?

I have built the Druid academy in my island, and I saw the tree development tree, but there is one thing that is making me a bit uncertain about the results of these developments.

For example, in wood it says: "Researching Wood manufacturing speeds up the construction of wooden buildings and is the foundation of Wood based research", but after I got that done, I looked at leveling up some buildings in the island, iron, wood, food, and I have not noticed any improvement on the building times.

How are the real effect of the researches in the academy on leveling up the buildings?

Well, so far I have upgraded some stuff in the academy, and still, I have not noticed any improvement for having it.

Wood research at level 5
Food research at level 7
Stones research at level 4
Iron research at level 4
Festival research at level 2

So, what is the real deal for this druid academy?
